Resurrection

Fields of purple fade to gray
as Light yields and turns away.
Silver threads weave a night sky
and Dark shrouds the Earth to hide.
Slumber brings a quiet peace;
respite from enormous grief.
To take each day with disdain
scars a soul with searing pain.
Mem'ries play alive in dreams
when Time and Love reigned supreme.
Light turns back the ev'ning sky
with new hope the Man will rise.
