Sea Gypsies

It is the whales' song of tearful chords.
Those graceful guardians of the sea
Who remind us all of past worlds' lore.

What is that tearful weeping
from azure horizons and fathoms deep?
It is the whales' song of tearful chords.

Beyond the world's wooded edge
Man forgets to listen and ignores
who reminds us all of past worlds' lore.

A verse echoes across the wide miles
a mixed melancholy harmony of psalms.
It is the whales' song of tearful chords.

On a never leaving horizon we ride
hunting to silence the old generation.
Who will now remind us of our past world's lore?

Earth's pandemonium culminates its fate;
If only Man had paused to God's "Beware!"
This was the whales' song of tearful chords
who once reminded us of past worlds' lore.

Deliverance

Moving ever so slow but moving still,
a cold war grips and binds my soul.
When will Truth return and set Despair to flee?

Like a tunnel-work jeering and blasting,
darkness invades and burrows deep.
Moving ever so slow but moving still.

Tenderness evades my withered grasp;
Mirth succumbs to grief and droops to frown.
When will Truth return and set Despair to flee?

Cynical dullness shadows mine eyes
as pandemonium denies the warming Sun.
Moving ever so slow but moving still.

Scalding humiliation tempers my tears
and long my cross no more can I bear.
Pray! Truth will return and set me free.

Exhaustion overcomes and drowns me in slumber
whilst Hope soothes my ragged-born blunder.
Moving ever so slow but moving still
patient Truth will ever be and send Despair to hell.
